4 Marathons in 4 Countries

Z Adventures is proud to present the Zambezi Challenge. The 4 marathons, 4 countries adventure will take place from July 3rd to July 9th, 2021. We will take adventurers and sports enthusiasts on a cross country journey filled with unique running challenges and cultural immersion. Our athletes have the option to partake in one or more running events over a fun-filled drive / fly vacation. The professionally managed official events will start in Zimbabwe where runners will take part in the world famous Victoria Falls Marathon. We will then travel by road to Botswana where a grand safari will be organised in Chobe National Park. Three more marathons will be organised in Botswana, Namibia and Zimbabwe followed by a trip to Victoria Falls and sunset cruise dinner on the Zambezi river. There will also be optional activities including bungee jumping, zip lining and white river rafting.
The Zambezi Challenge is designed to accommodate every kind of runners and their families. Participants will get a chance to explore different countries, meet like-minded adventure-athletes, and soak in the sights and sounds of each destination. Runners & walkers can choose any distance they like ranging from 5K, 10K, half marathon to full marathon.

LOCATIONS: Zambia, Zimbabwe, Botswana and Namibia.
MARATHON PACKAGE: USD 2,625.00 per person. This includes:
- Welcome dinner in Zimbabwe.
- 6 nights accommodation based on twin sharing basis.
- Transfers by coach to all marathon locations.
- Entry fee to all 4 professionally managed official marathons.

INDIVIDUAL RACE ENTRY FEE: USD 100.00 (applicable to non-packaged runners). The price includes a finisher medal.
TRIP ESSENTIALS:
- All runners are required to have either a GPS watch or smartphone with distance calculation app.
- Mandatory vaccinations for entering all countries.
- Trip and medical evacuation insurance.
WEATHER INFORMATION:
- Zambia, Botswana, Zimbabwe, Namibia: High/Low, degrees Celsius: 27/7. Colder at night, days can get hot.
VACCINATIONS:
Malaria: Prevalent in Victoria Falls and surrounding areas – consult your doctor about best anti malaria medication for you.
In addition, mosquito repellent is very important in order to reduce the risk of malaria.
Yellow Fever: Travelers between Zambia and South Africa require proof of a Yellow Fever Vaccination. You will be required to have the vaccination a minimum of 10 days before arrival, however the vaccination is valid for 10 years.
Other: It is your own responsibility to ensure you have the required medication with you for the duration of the trip. Consult your doctor to ensure your vaccinations are up to date and that you bring along any other medicines you require.
