CHALLENGE DETAILS:
- Setup and measure a course.
- Activate your GPS watch or mobile phone app.
- Complete a marathon or half marathon distance within a maximum period of one week.
- On completion, email the data to us for verification and receive a digital customised finisher certificate.

Please note that the following will not count towards the challenge:
Please note that treadmill running and running around a compound are not permitted during this challenge as these are methods of training which many people already use.
Whilst running a marathon in any manner would always be an achievement, this challenge has been designed to reflect the difficult times we are all currently experiencing and to encourage as much social distancing and social isolation as possible.
Runners can choose any course or a combination of the 3:
- Living room
- Balcony
- Back garden
Please note that the following will not count towards the challenge:
- Running on public streets or parks
- Treadmill
- Compound running

CERTIFICATE OF COMPLETION:
Runners have a maximum of one week from the start date to complete the challenge. Upon completion, please email us the following:
- GPS screenshot showing each distance covered including time and date.
- Map of the course (normally it would show on all GPS results like Garmin, Strava, Apple or other apps).
CALCULATION OF TIME:
There will be 2 times shown on your certificate:
Net Time: This is the total time it took to complete the 42.2K per workout. e.g.
- Day 1: 10K in 1:00:00
- Day 2: 10K in 1:00:00
- Day 3: 10K in 1:00;00
- Day 4: 12.2K in 1:10:00
Total Net Time: 4:10:00
Cumulative Time: This is the total time it took to complete 42.2K from the start of challenge to finish time. e,g.
- Day 1: 12:00 pm Start (0K)
- Day 3: 12:00 pm Finish (42.2K)
Total Cumulative Time: 72:00:00
AWARDS:
At the end of the week, we will create a poll where runners can vote the winners.
- Best costume (Runners can email us a picture of them in their running gear)
- Best video (upload a video which is less than 1 minute long of your attempt on FB and share the link with us)
- Most imaginative loop (Runners can email us a picture or upload video of their loop)
- Shortest loop (Runners can email us a picture of the loop from their strava or one of the other devices)
- Best Aid Station (Runners can email us a picture or upload video of the aid station)
All winners will receive a Certificate which they would be able to download.
REGISTRATION:
There is no registration required. It is a FREE event. Simply email us your data by Friday 3 April to be included in the challenge. Online results will be posted on Saturday 4 April on our website.
WHAT TO SUBMIT:
Please email us the following information at the end of the challenge or once you complete your desired distance:
- Full Name
- Gender
- Nationality
- Distance (Half or Full Marathon)
- Challenge start date and time
- Challenge finish date and time
- Net Time
- Cumulative Time
- Evidence (GPS screenshot of time, distance covered, course length)
- Picture of course map
- Video link of attempt (if keen to take part in the awards)
